AT reader Gretchen sent us a link to some photos she took of her parents' house in Mexico, which included their eye-catching bathroom. We love the invigorating and vibrant colors and the tile sink is gorgeous! Do you have a colorful bathroom? Share with us by tagging your flickr photo with "apartmenttherapyla" or email us at la(at)apartmenttherapy(dot)com.

That's the best house in the whole world! Gretchen, let's go visit your parents! Really, what a fun combination of color, ocean, and joy.
There are a couple more and slightly bigger photos on my flickr account, as well. (I wasn't planning to put them on Flickr, otherwise I could have sent that link.)

WOW! Would that not be the most fun place to live? Gretchen, I'll bet your parents wake up with a smile every morning.
this is like living in a Gaudi house, on the beach. The colors are so vibrant, I just love it.
Both bathrooms are fantastic.... loveeeee it.

Love this house...Everything about it is fun, young, beachy and full of life. Even taking a shower in this house would be a great experience! What is all that material in the bathroom and the shelves made of? Looks like some type of sand or molded material that has been shaped. I can't tell. But the shapes are very organic and fluid. Please keep the pics up as I have saved to my favorites!!

I am breathless. This house is the happiest, most gorgeous but playful space. I was already drooling, and then halfway through the slideshow FELL OFF MY CHAIR when I realized this home is on the beach as well. Something like this is my lifelong dream. Thank you for sharing the photos!

I love that.
It's bummed me out that in the past, on AT, people have described that kind of use of color as tasteless or gaudy (I'm glad ppl aren't doing it on this thread). To me, it just looks arty and fun and happy. I'm not sure I'd do the same thing in my house - I've spent almost my entire life in very cool-toned, light-colored rooms, because it was the family taste and then because of renting, and I'm not sure that intense, clear and bright shades would be relaxing enough for me - but I do love it.
(In my old house, the only definite color in almost any room was blue, and there was a lot of blue throughout the home: most of the carpeting and flooring, the master bath, the living room, and the blue-and-silver wallpaper in the foyer. My bedroom was painted a very faint lilac tint, and my bathroom was pink/silver/white, but aside from that, any painted wall in the house was a shade of blue: navy accents in the kitchen, a medium blue in the master bath, several shades in the living room. I always wanted to have something more intense than I had & am always sketching out future schemes - now my bedroom is white with light wood and a few black things and accents of any bright possible, but primarily red and turquoise. However, it's a rental, so it's still mostly white.)

While it's definitely not my style, my parents are happy with the colors and thats all that really matters!
