Karen's a new LA resident with an outdoor furniture question:
I'm new to LA and am trying to furnish a new backyard. I've fallen in love with a patio table I found online, but it takes 12 weeks to ship (!), hence I'd miss summer altogether. Maybe you know where i can find the Fermob Round Folding Bistro tables locally in LA, or a similar item?

Karen, unfortunately the imported Fermob collection is unavailable here in Los Angeles at any retail locations. The closest authorized and listed retailer we could find is all the way up in the 415 area code in San Francisco, although you could try ordering from authorized online dealers such as American Country Home Store or The Open Room.
It's not exactly the same, but an affordable option is the
Bistro Collection from Cost Plus World Market. The metal table folds up just like the Fermob and the price has just dropped down to $99 for the table; the site advertises 5-7 business day shipping. We also remember seeing these at retail locations recently, so we'd recommend you stop by your local World Market and check them out firsthand (if I remember correctly, I saw these at both the Fairfax Grove and Glendale locations in the last couple of weeks). I would try IKEA. you can allways paint it in the color you like.

Have you seen the one at softsurroundings.com? It's a little pricey at $258 for a set of table & 2 chairs, but the color choices are nice: sky blue or fuschia.

www.conranusa.com has the square red folding fermob table if you like that one...

again, not quite the same, but target has a similar red table online. the good thing is that it's available, with free shipping. the bad thing is that the chairs are unavailable if you need them. (it also comes in a cream colour)
